Actor Daniel Craig made Honorary Commander in The Royal Navy

Who has seen the new James Bond movie: No Time To Die? And did you know that Daniel Craig has been awarded an Honorary Commander in the Royal Navy. See Sky News article here.

Daniel Craig’s new title matches the on-screen rank that his classic British cinema character,007, holds. Daniel Craig has played James Bond in 5 films over the past 15 years and  No Time to Die will be his last appearance in the role. So I think it is only fitting the British Navy have awarded this honorary title to the actor who has portrayed a Naval officer who keeps Britain safe through his dangerous missions around the globe.

The Royal Navy and Ministry of Defence have worked closed with the filmmakers - Producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson at Eon/Danjaq Productions to give an authentic insight into the working of the Royal Navy. You can see the warship HMS Dragon Type 45 destroyer in the official trailer for the film.

What do you think Admiral Fisher would be thinking about this award? From my extensive research I think Jacky would say that any publicity that shines a light on the British Navy is warranted. And maybe Jacky would also agree that Daniel Craig would be an excellent choice to play him in the Sea Lord film too!
